In 2010, a handful of human-rights lawyers walked into Chennai’s biggest slum and vowed: “No poor person will ever fight alone.” Today, JusticeX.org is a 200-volunteer-strong legal assistance NGO that has rescued 18,000+ families from illegal evictions, domestic abuse, bonded labour, caste atrocities and police brutality—100 % free of cost.
